Teaching Artist/Arts in Education

See www.arts.state.ms.us click on Artist Roster (Anne is listed in two categories: Teaching Artist Roster, Mississippi Artist Roster) Annie B. McKee represents the heritage of Mississippi in her role as storyteller, author, humorist, public speaker, and creator of historic literary performance events. In addition, she serves as a teacher for creative writing workshops, guest playwright for several community theatres, and presenter of dramatic readings, especially those of EudoraWelty — along with a monologue detailing the life of that great literary voice from Mississippi. Humor is a large part of her creativity, as well as her Mississippi heritage. Both areas come to life through her fictional characters, Mrs. Mockingbird and the talking cats, Brutus and Felix. Her creative writing sessions offer an emphasis on life lessons, family values, and the integrity of true friendships. Teaching Artist Roster and Mississippi Artist Roster
